Over my break I had the chance to visit Colorado for the first time. I spent a few days in Boulder and a few up in Breckenridge (look out for another post on the skiing soon!!). One of my goals for 2017 is to travel more so my sister and I had the idea to get each other plane tickets for christmas to visit family out West and go skiing.
The trip was amazing. This was the first time the two of us got to travel alone together. We always have a great time exploring and this was no exception.
Colorado is so different from the East Coast. The views are like no other.
While in Boulder we went to Pearl Street, an outside shopping area with so many great unique shops and eateries. Towards the end of the street you could catch a glimpse of the mountains.
My Aunt took us to this awesome restaurant on Pearl Street where we tried bison burgers. They were super tasty and would definitely recommend.
I had a pretty awesome New Years. I celebrated with family and friends up in a cabin in Vermont. The long weekend was packed with all sorts of fun activities. I had a few days of spectacular skiing as well as some hiking and a visit to the local Harpoon Brewery.
It was a much needed getaway spent with some great company.
I picked up this sweater from Madewell earlier this fall. I unfortunately got it before it was on sale but it has been well worth the investment. It’s warm, cozy, super comfortable and goes with just about everything. One of the greatest aspects of the sweater is that the turtleneck part is optional. It has buttons that can come off to make it a regular crew neck sweater.
I paired the Madewell sweater with black jeans and black lace up flats. On a side note, I have gained so much use out of my black jeans this holiday season! Their versatility has offered so many different outfit options.
