Glazed and Infused
This maple bacon donut from Glazed and Infused was one of the best donuts I have ever had. While visiting Lincoln Park in Chicago I grabbed a few donuts for breakfast. The maple bacon one was definitely my favorite. Glazed and Infused’s had an awesome vibe- the staff were so nice and helpful and their donuts were excellent.

I cannot believe I am in my last semester of undergrad. It seems like just yesterday I was filling out college applications stressing over where I wanted to go. As I try to make the most of my last few months of college I can’t help but start to think about what my future holds for next year.
This semester I am doing a PR and marketing internship with a wedding company. Twice a week I commute into the city and work from 9:00-5:30. On top of that, I am also taking six classes and rehearsing for three different dance performances. I am insanely busy but I wouldn’t change anything. I am so thankful for the opportunities I have been given and am looking forward to take on the challenge.
For the first time I’m actually interested in all of my classes. Most of them are distribution classes that I pushed off taking but it turns out they are all fascinating and thought provoking. I get to dance every day and I love the work I’m doing at my internship.
Having the chance to work in Manhattan has me excited for life after graduation. Next fall I hope to work and live in the city. Over the next couple of months I plan to start looking at apartments in the Brooklyn and Queens area as well as starting to apply to jobs. (If you have any suggestions please let me know! Any and all suggestions are welcome!!).
It’s weird to think about how in only a short time, my life will be completely different. For the past three and a half years I’ve had the chance to learn about subjects I love and surround myself with amazing friends that have helped shaped me into the person I am today.
I live with some of my best friends, I get to dance every single day and next year that may not be the case. College has been an incredible experience and I know I’m going to miss it but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am ready to move on. Although it’s scary with all of the uncertainty, I am ready for a change.
How do you deal with big changes in your life?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
My day was spent with friends, lots of dancing and of course, donuts.

Brunch at Soho House Chicago
While visiting my roommate in Chicago we had brunch at the Soho House. I first discovered the Soho House on Instagram a couple of months ago and knew immediately it had to be planned into my trip to Chicago.
Besides the food, my favorite part was the atmosphere. It was decorated beautifully with an array of eclectic older chairs and various sized tables making it an overall aesthetically pleasing environment.
It wasn’t too loud or crowded either. Priya and I sat there for at least a couple of hours chatting without feeling pressure from the servers to leave. It would be a great environment to bring your laptop, enjoy a cup of tea and get some work done.
Now onto what I ate. I had a bit of an odd dish but it was seriously out of this world. I had mashed potatoes with bits of bacon in it with a poached egg in the middle and a side of toast. It sounded interesting on the menu so I tried it on a whim, but it was by far the best breakfast I have ever had.
Soho House has quite a few locations in both Europe and North America. To eat at most of their locations you have to be a member of their club but they do have a few restaurants that are open to anyone. If you ever get the chance to go, I would definitely recommend it.
