What’s more perfect than blogging on a snowy afternoon? As school is cancelled for the second time this week I can’t help but think of the productive things I should be doing. What am I doing you might ask? What every college student loves. Netflix. My favorite show thus far is most definitely Gossip Girl. By the final season the story lines got a bit repetitive but the clothes is what fascinated me most. What girl doesn’t want to be Blaire and have a best friend like Serena. Their overall lifestyle is every teenage girls dream come true.
Every time I go into the city I find myself pretending I’m Blaire walking down the streets of the upper east side. Maybe someday my life will be as fancy and whimsical as those girls. But for now a girl can only dream. That’s all for now
As I was packing up to go back to school I was amazed at how much stuff I had accumulated. I found it very difficult to pack for my christmas break. I was off for six weeks. It’s one thing to pack for a week but six? Who knows what will be happening and what sort of occasion it will be. I tried to pack as lightly as possible but as I was making my way to the bus to return home I realized what a big mistake I had made.
With me I had a rolling suitcase, large duffel bag, backpack and bag. In order to get the bus I took a taxi to the train station where the train took me to penn station. From there I walked ten blocks to the port authority bus terminal. In the busy streets of Manhattan carrying that much luggage was an awful experience. From now I shall only pack the bare minimum.
When I was packing up at home I wondered how I possibly managed to fit everything into these few bags. Thankfully my mother drove me back to school and I did not have to worry about carrying massive bags throughout the streets of the city.
I haven’t posted anything lately as I am getting back into the swing of things at school. I moved back into my dorm last week and started classes on monday. I am looking forward to see what the new semester has to offer. Last semester I had mostly dance classes (I’m a dual dance and business major). This semester I have a few business classes which I am very excited about. I personally love to dress up for class. Last semester I was always in my yogas for dance classes. I look forward to finally being able to dress up for class.
I think every girl maybe even some boys put careful thought into what to wear on the first day. I always want to make a subtle statement with my outfit. Nothing too crazy or fancy but still let people know that I mean business. Whether it’s the first day of classes or the first day of a job it is a first day must to strut your stuff and show who you are.
